Get in touch.
Free 15-minute consultations are offered with a Louisiana-licensed attorney. Use the form below to submit a brief description of your situation. You'll get a response within two business days to confirm there's no conflict of interest and to schedule the call.
Before you fill out this form
A few things to read first — they'll save time and protect you.
-
This is not the place for confidential details yet.
Tell me who your case is against (the other party) and what type of case it is, but please don't send case strategy, privileged communications, or sensitive facts until after we've spoken and confirmed no conflict of interest. Anything you send through this form before that point is not protected by the attorney-client privilege.
-
I only handle Louisiana matters.
If your case is in another state or in federal court outside Louisiana, I may not be the right person — though I can help point you to resources. For federal matters, please indicate that clearly.
-
The consultation is free.
Fifteen minutes, no obligation, no sales pitch. If it turns out the free library has what you need, I'll tell you that. If you need more, we'll talk about what more could look like and what it would cost.
-
Rates are discussed only privately.
Legal fees depend on the type of case, complexity, estimated hours, and your financial situation. A sliding scale based on income and case type is used. For some matters, reduced-fee or pro bono representation is possible. Specific numbers are not discussed until the matter is understood.
-
Formal representation requires a signed engagement letter.
Even if we agree during the consultation that you'd like to move forward, no attorney-client relationship exists until we both sign a written engagement letter specifying the scope of representation and fee arrangement. Until then, you are a prospective client, not a client.
